Wellness Visit
Preventative care is crucial to your pet’s long-term health. At Veterinary Medical Center we offer thorough wellness checks for dog, cats, and other small mammals to help diagnose problems at their earliest stage. Dr. Manning will consult with you about the exam findings and will work with you to make informed decisions regarding the best preventative care for your pet.
Our wellness service includes:
- Full comprehensive physical exam
- Dental screening - performed at all wellness checks
- Heartworm prevention and screening
- Flea and tick checks and prevention
- Annual vaccinations
- Nail trimming and Dremel services upon request
- Email and text message reminders about when your pet is due for his/her next visit
Over the age of ten, we recommend increasing your pets wellness visits to bi-annually as older pets tend to develop more extensive health problems.
Sick Visits
Veterinary Medical Center is here for you when your pet isn’t feeling their best. With Dr. Manning’s years of experience in emergency medicine she has the knowledge and experience to provide you the best treatment plan for you pet. We offer extended appointment times for sick visits so that we are able to provide an extensive physical exam as well as in-house diagnostic services such as bloodwork, digital radiographs, and ultrasound. Our wide range of in-house diagnostics allow us to get results quickly to help properly diagnose your pet and get them on the road to feeling better as soon as possible.
Surgical /Dental Services
We know surgery can be stressful for both patient and owner. Our goal is to make the process as easy and as stress free as possible. Dr. Manning preforms a thorough pre-surgical exam accompanied by pre-anesthetic blood work to ensure you pet is a good candidate to undergo anesthesia.
We provide each patient with personalized pre-medications to help calm them for their IV catheter placement and to ensure a smooth transition into anesthesia. Once under anesthesia all of our patients are monitored with state-of-the-art equipment which allows the technician and doctor to closely monitor all vital signs throughout the procedure. Each pet is given a complimentary pedicure and ear cleaning during their stay.
Our newly designed dental suite allows our staff to take full mouth radiographs as well as provide dental scaling and cleanings. Today’s practice standards dictate a higher level of oral care for our patients and dental radiography is a vital part of those standards. In fact, we believe it is not possible to provide quality dental care without utilizing radiographs. Such a great deal occurs below the gumline that without radiographs there is potential to miss most of the oral problems present in our patients.
Pharmacy
We do offer a wide range of medications, nutritional supplements, shampoos, flea and tick products, and heartworm preventatives here at the office to meet the needs of your pet. We also carry prescription diets from both Hills and Royal Canin. However, we also realize that sometimes it is easier and more convenient to get your pets medications or food delivered directly to you . Because of this we are happy to offer our Hills to Home program that provides you the ability to order your pets food online and have it shipped directly to your home. We have also partnered with Vetsource, the industry-leading Home Delivery pharmacy provider to offer you this convenient service. Our partnership with Vetsource means that we can continue to supply you with quality products sourced directly from the manufacturer and have them shipped right to your front door
